A meeting of the Health Minister s of the BRICS country (Brazil,Russia, India, China,and South Africa )was held in new Delhi on January, 11 2013 ,at the meeting it was recognized that multi drug resistance tuberculosis TB,was a major health problem in the five country s ,the Minister s are agreed to collaborate for the development of capacities and infrastructure to deal with the disease in their respective country ,.Adopting the Delhi Communique at the end of the two meeting oF BRICS nation s the health minister resolved to reduced the prevalence of TB through innovation for new drugs/vaccine ,diagnostic and promotion of consortia of tuberculosis researchers to collaboration on clinical trial of drug s and streanthing access to affordable medicine s and delivery of quality care.
The ministers also agreed to adopt and improved system for notification of TB patient s available ety of anti TB drug at facilities by improving supplies performance ,procurement, system and logistics and of manegment ofHIV associated tuberculosis in primary health care , they resolved to share experience and expertise in the areas of surveillance existing and new strategy to prevent the spread of HIV.and in rapid scale upb of affordable treatment, Imporntaly the nation committed to strengthen cooperation to combat malaria through enhance diagnostics research and development and to facilities cammon access to technology developed or under development in the BRICS country S.
These nation s will also focus on their research and development, manufacturing of affordable health product s and capability to conduct clinical trial s while emphasising on the importance of child survival through progressive reduction in the maternal mortality and under five mortality ,to achieve Millennium Development Goals.
